About
Mike professional career has focused primarily on the Engineering and Construction side of the Chemical, Petrochemical, and Oil and Gas Industries. Over thirty year’s industry experience. Estimating experiences consisted of developing domestic and international estimates, covering the spectrum from conceptual studies to lump sum bids, grass roots to revamp projects, small to large mega projects.
This is supplemented with a highly skilled usage of Aspen Capital Cost Estimator, (formerly Kbase).
Mike has been a member of Aspen Houston User Group as well as a presenter. Mike has been a member of AACE International and is an advocate and mentor for the next generation of Estimators.

Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) Estimating
The purpose of this presentation is to introduce learners to the fundamental concepts and industry-recognized practices of Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) estimating.
The presentation will start with the definition and purpose of an estimate. Once that concept has been completed the presentation will move onto the different estimate classifications and the methods used to develop the different estimates. There will be a review of the different methods and expect outcomes. The correlation will be made between the maturity of the project and how it relates to the classification and the method used to develop the estimate.
