Why do you charge Sales Tax on ticket prices?

As per the Texas State law, all attendees purchasing tickets for physical events in Texas, such as conferences and trade shows, are required to pay 8.25% sales tax. This tax will be added to the ticket prices during the registration process, and the collected sales tax will be sent to the State Government accordingly.

Please be aware that the sales tax will be applied to all ticket purchases for Project Control Summit 2024 including those purchased by international attendees as the conference will take place in Galveston, Texas.

When and where will Project Control Summit 2024 take place?

Project Control Summit 2024 will be held from April 22 to April 24, 2024, in the beautiful beach city of Galveston, Texas, United States. The conference venue is the Galveston Island Convention Center.

Is Project Control Summit 2024 an in-person event?

Yes, Project Control Summit 2024 is an in-person conference, providing attendees with the opportunity to engage, network, and learn together on-site.

Will there be a virtual version of the Summit or recordings available for those who cannot attend in person?

Project Control Summit 2024 is primarily an in-person conference. At this point, we have no plan to virtually stream the conference to those who may not be able to attend the conference in person. This may change later depending on the attendance level. We will, however, record the conference sessions. The recordings will be available for purchase after the conference. More details will be provided closer to the event date.

What safety measures will be in place at Project Control Summit 2024?

The safety and well-being of attendees are a top priority. Project Control Summit 2024 will adhere to all local health guidelines and implement necessary safety measures to ensure a safe and enjoyable conference experience.

We take the health of our attendees and our staff very seriously, so as with any public or private event, if you are sick please do not attend.

COVID Policy

Are the hotels close to the conference venue?

Yes, both the San Luis Resort and the Hilton Galveston Island Resort are close to the Galveston Island Convention Center. In fact, both hotels are adjacent to the convention center, making it extremely convenient for attendees to access the conference venue.

The Galveston Island Convention Center is located at 5600 Seawall Blvd, Galveston, Texas, and both the San Luis Resort and the Hilton Galveston Island Resort are situated along the historic Seawall Boulevard, within walking distance of the convention center. This proximity allows you to easily move between the conference sessions, networking events, and your accommodation without the need for transportation.

Staying at either of these hotels offers the added benefit of being close to the conference activities, making it a seamless and enjoyable experience during Project Control Summit 2024.

Having said that, the conference agenda is not announced hour-by-hour. This is a transformational event – just come and experience it.

What is the dress code?

The dress code for the Project Control Summit 2024 is business casual for most conference events, including technical sessions, workshops, and networking sessions. Business casual attire typically includes collared shirts, blouses, slacks, khakis, dresses, skirts, or similar clothing. Arrival Information:

If you are not located in Texas, it is recommended to arrive on Sunday, April 21, 2024. If you are traveling from overseas, it’s better to arrive earlier, so you can adjust to the new time zone and beat jet lag, ensuring you’re fully energized for the conference.
For attendees located in Texas, you may choose to arrive in the morning of April 22, 2024.
The Technical Workshops will be held in the morning of Monday, April 22.
The Social Events will take place in the afternoon of Monday, April 22. The Exhibition Hall will open at 4:30 pm US Central time, followed by the Welcome Reception at 6:00 pm US Central time on the same day.
Event check-in is available from 1:00 to 7:00 pm US Central time on Monday, April 22, 2024, and also at 7:00 am US Central time on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.

Departure Information:

The event will conclude at approximately 5:30 pm US Central time on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
It is recommended to plan your departure on Thursday, April 25, 2024, unless you choose to extend your stay longer for personal reasons or further exploration of the area.

What if I want to arrive earlier and/or extend my stay at the hotel after the conference ends?

If you wish to arrive earlier or extend your stay at the hotel after the conference ends, you have the flexibility to do so. During the registration process, you can book your hotel room from April 21 2o April 25 at the special conference rates. If you plan to arrive earlier than April 21or depart later than April 25, you can book your hotel reservation accordingly. You may also contact the hotel directly to make any adjustments to your reservation.

Keep in mind that the hotel rates for the additional nights before April 21 and after April 25 may differ. It is advisable to check with the hotel about the rates and availability for the extended stay (if you cannot book for additional nights via the booking link that we provide) to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience throughout your time in Galveston Island.
