Title & Abstract

Think outside the box- Amplify your project scheduling process with new tools

Scheduling can be a painful process and require many inputs and outputs. It consumes schedulers’ time and makes them slaves to the scheduling process with no time to focus on other tasks like schedule analysis, mitigation strategies, and effective reporting and communications.

This presentation will take you on a journey where you will learn how to cut the times needed for building and analyzing a schedule. In addition, this presentation will provide tips, techniques, and tools that will empower you to lead the way in scheduling and project control.

In this presentation, you’ll learn:

  • How you can accelerate the process of schedule development
  • To think outside the box and think ahead when it comes to activity codes
  • How to update schedules quicker and more efficiently
  • The DCMA 14-point assessment and how it can be evaluated to judge a schedule’s quality
  • How to present the schedule in Excel, which is favored by many, without losing the P6 layouts and format
  • How to create and publish Power BI reports to the web for automated progress updates and availability of reports to the project team and management.
