Dr. Schweiger is President of Schweiger and Associates, a strategic-management consulting firm, and is Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Strategic Management at the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina. He holds a Ph.D. in Management from the Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, and a M.S. and a B.S. from the Polytechnic Institute of New York.

He has advised and consulted with numerous publicly traded and privately held U.S. and international organizations. He has facilitated executive and management teams in developing and implementing business strategies, integrating mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and alliances. He has also coached many executives and managers and has conducted executive development programs for Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, Duke University Corporate Education, The Irish Management Institute and EM Lyon (France).

Dr. Schweiger was named by the Journal of Management as among the top scholars who have had the greatest impact on the field of management during the last quarter century. His research has been widely published in scientific and professional journals and he has published several books.
