HagireEmrani is currently Senior Director of Project Controls at SNC Lavalin’s Infrastructure – Major Projects division. Throughout his career, he has worked in different capacities such as site engineer, assistant project manager, project controls director, change manager & risk manager, for contractors, owners and consultants, at project offices and construction sites. Hagire is a Professional Engineer with Quebec’s Order of Engineering (OIQ) and holds an MBA from University of Montreal. He is a Certified Cost Professional from AACEi and obtained his PMP in 2006; he is a SME (Subject Matter Expert) in project controls & public speaking, who regularly teaches and offers workshops in SNC-Lavalin (his current employer) and in local universities (Concordia & Ecole Poly Technique) in different languages. Hagire is the current president of AACE Montreal Chapter and a past president at Speak with Style toastmasters club.

Hagire’s current mandate is to manage large project’s life cycle. He is a member of the Project Oversight team, whose mandate is to monitor the performance of major projects across the business, and which carries out regular PEER reviews and deep dives for such projects as the New Champlain Bridge & REM (Reseau ElectriqueMetropolitaine) in Montreal and Crosslinx Subway in Toronto.

Finally, he is an avid tennis player and fisherman, who is more importantly the full-time daddy of their two lovely daughters.

Partnerships – The Win-Win Approach to Addressing Current Market Conditions

The construction industry is pulling our hair trying to figure out ways to address impacts from current market conditions between escalation increases from the economy and delays from supply chain issues.

In this panel discussion, senior leaders in project controls and services will provide insight into how well-designed and managed partnerships can help mitigate some of the delays and escalation issues plaguing the industry. Many of the mitigation strategies used in partnerships must be designed and implemented during the design phase in order to effect mitigation during construction, so this discussion helps the audience ensure early appropriate partnering and engagement in these efforts to receive maximum benefits.
