Martin Darley FRICS CCP FAACE is Senior Advisor, Estimating, for Chevron Capital Projects, providing support to their Energy portfolio in developing opportunities that are leading in returns, and lower carbon.

Martin has over 40 years’ experience in Cost Engineering working in a variety of industry sectors. He is FRICS (Fellow of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), CCP (Certified Cost Professional) and FAACE (Fellow) of the Association for Advancement of Cost Engineering). He served AACE International in various Board level capacities for nine years, including President 2014-2015.

Martin began his career in UK as a quantity surveyor in North of England moving to USA as Regional Director with Faithful & Gould in 2001. As Operations Director, Turner & Townsend USA, he began his servant leadership to AACE. Joining Chevron in 2011 and has worked for their SASBU (Southern Africa Strategic Business Unit), CUE (Chevron Upstream Europe), and Opportunity Shaping in the company’s Central Projects organization. He has served industry in various capacities, notably JIP (Joint Industry Projects) on Whole Life Costing, ECI (European Construction Institute) Value Enhancing Practices, and Vice Chair of ICMS (International Construction Measurement Standard) Coalition from its inception through to publication of the standards second edition in 2019.
