About

Christi Fu is the Operations Manager of Arcadis Contract Solutions Practice in the Western United States where she is responsible for Arcadis’ construction claims related service offerings.

Christi has diverse experience in the construction and project management field as a contractor, an owner’s representative, and a consultant. Her contract solutions experience includes analyses of claims on numerous project types including roadways and highways, bridges, light rails, wastewater treatment facilities, airports, ports, and buildings. She has participated and made preparations for Dispute Review Boards, mediations, and arbitration.

Christi is a registered Professional Engineer in several states, Certified Construction Manager, LEED Accredited Professional and Envision Sustainability Professional. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a minor in Business Administration and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Engineering and Project Management from the University of California, Berkeley.

In 2015, Christi was recognized by Civil + Structural Engineer magazine as one of 20 Rising Stars, 40 years old or younger, who have shown exceptional technical capability, leadership ability, or public service benefiting the civil engineering profession, their employers, project owners, and society.

My Project is Late! How Much Is that Going to Cost?

Project overhead cost claims are often submitted when construction projects experience delays and productivity impacts.  The claimed costs often include both home and field overhead costs and are the Contractor’s attempt to recover damages.  In this presentation, you’ll discover methodologies to calculate and evaluate these costs, including identification of common pitfalls and advantages and disadvantages of each method.  You will also learn how a contractor’s accounting system and bid documents can be used for the evaluation of these claims.

Join this session to have a better understanding of various overhead calculations and evaluations for the delay and productivity claims.
